"Working Together for the Future of a Sustainable Adirondack Park"

The 2008 conference theme centers on research related to long term resource trends and
collaborative partnerships focused on promoting sustainability and innovation in three
concept areas:
- Energy and Technology
- Environmental and Ecological Issues
- Community and Economic Issues
The ARC is inviting researchers of national, regional, and local expertise to present their
latest work in these topical areas. If you are interested in submitting a paper or a poster at
the conference, the Call for Papers announcement and the Abstract Submission Form
should be very helpful to you and can be found on this webpage.
Lodging Information: The Crowne Plaza Lake Placid Resort & Golf Club has set aside rooms for conference attendees at the conference block rate of $99/single or double room. Contact the resort directly for reservation information at 518-523-2556 and be sure to tell them you are attending the Adirondack Research Consortium’s conference. The Crowne Plaza has a limited number of rooms set aside at this rate and will honor it until April 21, 2008, and thereafter depending on availability.
